
Elize Bezuidenhout - Artist
Elize was born in Springs where she matriculated at Hoër Meisieskool Hugenote in 1982 and studied Graphic Design at Pretoria Technikon. She worked as a Graphic Designer until 2014, when she took the brave step to follow her dream to become a fulltime artist and art teacher - she teaches painting workshops countrywide.
A few highlights in her career include being a finalist in the Thami Mnyele Fine Arts Awards in 2010, finalist in the Vuleka Art Competition in 2014, winner of Constantiaberg Art Society Founders' Trophy in 2015 and in 2016. In 2017 Elize had 2 portrait paintings selected for the top 40 at the Sanlam Portrait Awards. She was the 2019 winner of the South African Society of Artists’ Eleanor Palmor Floating Trophy.
Elize joined the Gallop Hill Group of Galleries in 2017 and is exclusively represented by Dijonne du Preez, the owner of the Gallop Hill Galleries (Plett, Hermanus & Franschhoek). Her paintings are included in private collections of prominent national and international art collectors.
